It's odd considering the hotel is so new, but hey it's Japan. We later realised this smell appears in other parts of Osaka too. Twin room offered power outlets to each bed. Room had a small couch, appearing to be a fold-out sofa-bed. Bathroom standard Japanese pod-style with limited shelf space. Window unable to open possibly only in an emergency, but didn't try to open it Lifts were frequent and fast. Drip filter coffee was very strong. Hot options were usually virtually cold. The hotel is a slight walk south from Osaka station, but close to a few subway stations. Short walk up to Umeda for nightlife and shopping.
